Wellington Malaysian Student Organization or WMSO for short is an association that acts as a big umbrella for Malaysian students in New Zealand. It shields its members from the ‘cloud’ of being alone in a foreign country and ensures that the welfare of its members is being looked into. WMSO too, act as a platform of friendship where strangers upon membership, becomes acquaintances and friends.

Note that Wellington has not much of what we so called ‘entertainment’; a hazard to shopaholics...but with many interesting activities being carried out by WMSO, ‘boredom’ ceased to exist in the dictionary of its members. So sign up and be a member!

Our proud logo

The logo, made up from the letters W-M-S-O resembles a kris, a traditional weapon symblolising our strength and spirit. The M coloured red, the colour of passion and bravery. It is also the colour of blood as it symbolises the sacrifices all of us had to make to be where we are. The M is emphasized to remind us that we were all Malaysians regardless of race and religion.
